~CONSTRUCTING POPULATION PYRAMIDS~
What is a Population Pyramid?
A population pyramid gives a graphical illustration of a nation's age and sex distribution and may be utilized for distinctive areas or sub-populaces. Using computer programmers like Microsoft Excel equips the system to organize the statistics and develop the real population pyramid.
Components of a Population Pyramid
The various shapes in a population pyramid gives us an idea about a country's current population. It also illustrates the birth and death rates as well as the life expectancy in a given country. Therefore, by constructing population pyramids, it benefits the government to create proposals for the future of the country as population pyramids usually display change over a period of time. Males are usually on the left side of the pyramid and females are on the rights side of the pyramid.
